I used my solar telescope during the eclipse. First image is one of the Sun before the eclipse, and the second is a screenshot from a video, in which a bird flew past early on in the eclipse. Both the photos were taken using an Acuter hydrogen alpha solar telescope.

ZWO camera

Hello,

I have a ZWO asi585MC camera. I am trying to get an image using the Preview facility - and failing dismally.

Do any of you have experience of the asi packages? If so would it be possible for to help me at home? If you can, let me know by email at cmwood233@gmail.com

Thanks

Have you tried it in the day. Focus on a tree or chimney pot, using an eye piece. Then replace the eye piece with the camera, set the exposure time to 0.01 seconds or so, and then change focus until you can see the image on the screen (or you could also take a video). I use an ASI Air Pro but don't use ASI software for capture on a laptop.
