Hello!
During August our society doesn't have a meeting sadly, but rejoice! There is still plenty of stuff to see and learn in the night sky as we near the end of summer and the longer nights arrive!
As an amateur astronomer there is always something to see and learn even during summer, August is renown for its meteor showers (Perseid) and other notably impressive showers such as k-cygnid.
The nights draw longer now as we head into winter and the society will continue with it's regular schedule of meetings, With our next meeting being on September 27th .
As August comes to an end, hope everyone enjoyed Skywatching and enjoys the bank holiday!
