Spring!

Happy spring equinox everyone!

Spring is finally here! And although that does mean shorter nights, it does spell warmer weather! Luckily even with these shorter nights we can still see a great deal of what's going on up in our skies!

And not to forget we still have our monthly meetings and great lectures!

So what's in store for us?

In April we will have the lyrids meteor shower. Following shortly after we will have another great meter shower. The ETA aquariids. That should shower our skies for a bit!

Planets? Well as astronomers, we do like these big, and sometimes small spherical things. So what have we to see up there?

Well starting off at home, Mercury is at its greatest Eastern elongation on March 23rd.

We have a full moon on the 25th of March.

Lastly,Spring is great for galaxies! So if you're an avid fan of these deep space wonders. Now's the time to look!

So with the warmer weather, and short nights, we still have so much to look at and enjoy! Nibble on some Easter chocolates! Hope for clear skies as we head into Summer.
